NCAA Game Summary - UL-Lafayette at Troy
Troy, AL (Sports Network) - DuJuan Harris rushed for 234 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Troy Trojans to a 48-3 victory over the UL-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns in a Sun Belt Conference battle at the Movie Gallery Veterans Stadium.
Kennard Burton added 66 rushing yards and one score for Troy (7-4, 5-1 SBC), while Xavier Moreland contributed 56 yards on 6.2 ypc.
Quarterback Michael Desormeaux rushed for 136 yards for ULL (5-6, 4-2), but completed just 7-of-13 passes for 72 yards and was intercepted once.
Harris opened the scoring with a nine-yard touchdown run early in the first quarter.
After a miscue by ULL, Jorrick Calvin rumbled into the end zone from 65 yards out to give the Trojans a 14-0 edge.
Midway through the second stanza Drew Edmiston nailed a 29-yard field goal for ULL.
However, it was all Troy from there on, as the Trojans closed out the first half with a 42-yard field goal by Sam Glusman.
The first touchdown for Troy in the second half was a bit of trickery, as Harris turned quarterback, hitting Mykeal Terry with a five-yard scoring strike.
A 20-yard touchdown run by Burton late in the third stanza pushed the Trojans' lead to 31-3.
After a 17-play, 59-yard drive the Trojans added a 40-yard field goal by Glusman.
Troy finished the Cajuns off with a 35-yard touchdown run by Harris and a one- yard TD plunge by Maurice Greer.
