NCAA Game Summary - Miami-Ohio at Toledo

Toledo, OH (Sports Network) - Morgan Williams ran for a school-record 330 yards and scored three touchdowns as he led the Toledo Rockets to an easy 42-14 win over the Miami-Ohio RedHawks in Mid-American Conference play at the Glass Bowl.

Williams, a redshirt freshman who had a previous high of only 142 yards against Fresno State, carried the ball 28 times for the Rockets (3-8, 2-5 MAC) as the team rolled up 377 yards on the ground and 516 yards in total offense, snapping a four-game slide.

The RedHawks (2-9, 1-6), losers of four in a row and seven of the last eight, were led by Daniel Raudabaugh who completed 29-of-46 for 196 yards and two touchdowns, but he was also intercepted twice.

Williams began the scoring early for the Rockets on an eight-yard run at the 10:57 mark of the first frame. Toledo pushed the advantage to 14-0 on a one- yard TD run by Aaron Opelt and then moved to 21-0 on the heels of an 86-yard streak by Williams.

With just nine seconds remaining in the first half the RedHawks finally put some points on the board courtesy of a two-yard toss from Raudabaugh to Chris Givens.

Less than two minutes into the second half Toledo struck again with a two-yard TD run by Robin Bailey.

On the ensuing possession Miami-Ohio traveled 53 yards on six plays and made it into the end zone on a 30-yard pass play from Raudabaugh to Givens to make the score 28-14. Givens finished the night with a career-high nine catches for 85 yards.

Touchdown runs by Williams and Adonis Thomas of 14 and 10 yards, respectively, put the game out of reach for Toledo midway through the fourth quarter.

Williams, who broke the single-game record of 304 yards set by Casey McBeth back in 1994, now needs just 22 yards to tie the program's freshman record of 879 yards rushing in a season.
